CEO exits remain at record highs as companies reshuffle their leadership ranks in 2025.
Chicago-based outplacement firm Challenger, Gray & Christmas in a recent report found 222 CEOs left their jobs in January. While that’s down slightly from the 230 exits recorded in December, it is the highest number of January CEO departures since the firm began tracking CEO turnover in 2002.
