Last updated: August 19, 2024 at 11:56 am
Generation Z, also known as Gen Z, is the demographic cohort born between the mid-to-late 1995s and the early 2010s. The exact years that define the boundaries of this generation can vary. This generation follows Generation Y, also known as the Millennial generation, and precedes Generation Alpha.
Members of Generation Z grew up during a time of rapid technological advancement, with the internet, social media, and smartphones becoming ubiquitous during their childhood and adolescence. They are often characterized as being digitally native, with a strong preference for communicating and consuming information online. Gen Z is also known for their diversity and inclusivity, having grown up in a time of increased awareness and acceptance of differences in race, gender, and sexuality.
As this generation begins to enter the workforce and take on more significant roles in society, their unique perspectives and experiences are likely to shape the cultural and technological landscape in new and exciting ways.
