We are now seeing a shift and a new focus on the recruitment process, and on how a company or an external recruitment provider handles data. The first signals have already appeared, and we expect that more are on the way. Typically, we see countries making updates after a major country changes its laws.
As is well known, a number of regulations apply to individual countries and regions, and until now the primary focus has typically been on where such data is stored, how it is processed, who has access to it, and how and what may be shared — for example, between companies, cross countries.
This is particularly relevant in relation to the use of AI and ATS tools, as well as the consent declarations that must be collected, and how data is stored, used, transferred, and deleted. Here, we are also seeing an increased focus on what types of data may be retained.
