Pay increases are going to continue to slide this year as worker leverage erodes.

That assessment comes from a survey of 300 chief financial officers by Gartner Inc., which found that 61% of the respondents plan to increase average employee compensation in 2025 — down from 71% who said the same in 2024 and 86% in 2023.
